The first time I used this rod was on the River Avon in Evesham fishing for chub. I chose the 2oz tip and fished a link ledger rig. I was only using 3 SSG shots as my weight but the casting was effortless reaching the opposite bank easily. After using all of the tips in different situations a few times you get to know what weight you’d need to give the the best action and indication depending on where you are and what your are fishing for. the 2oz tip is a happy middle ground and bites from small Roach and Bleak register perfectly. the 3oz tip is more than capable of using a slightly bigger feeder and I have used it a few times distance fishing for big bream and it held up beautifully casting a 30g cage feeder easily.
